Graveside services for Mrs. Opal Arthur will held on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at 11 a.m., at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Rose Hill, MS with Bro. Phillip Marshall officiating.
Mrs. Arthur, 97, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She enjoyed taking care of her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening and growing her flowers. Mrs. Opal loved reading her Bible and spent countless hours sharing her love for Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior. She believed God left her here for a reason, to witness, counsel & give guidance to everyone, not just family and friends. She was a great Sounthern cook and enjoyed feeding everyone,but she also loved going to lunch with her special girlfriends Mildred and Jane.
She is survived by her Daughters, Helen Collins, Sue Allen (George), Betty Rucker (Dewayne); a special Daughter in Christ, Lawana James; Grandchildren, Lowell Martin, Mia Collins, Kathy Garrett, Daye Calhoun (Billy), Bethanie Price (Dave), Brittany Auclair (Jonathan), Lamone Taylor (Angela), Adam Taylor (Tiffany); Two Sister-in-laws Mary Moulds(RoseHill, MS) and Bernice Thaxton (Conroe, Tx);17 Great Grandchildren; 10 Great Great Grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and by her loving dog child, Pepper.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Auggie and Marthann Moulds ;her husband Rev. Norman Arthur; Jack Bradock( late 1st husband) and by several brothers and sisters.
